The Art of Positivity
How many times a day do you tell yourself that you're beautiful, special, successful, confident, worthy of love and unique? Is it at least once every day, hopefully more or perhaps less? Positivity, about yourself and others, is a vital part of feeling content in life. I know myself and others who have discovered positive affirmations already will testify to the fact that they are powerful little mantras. As my favourite quote says "Change your thoughts and you change your world." I believe in this statement is so profound because of it's simplicity and its power. If you view the world in a positive light, see people for their good and appreciate the beauty of life, does it not make sense that you will be happier? Can you not see that by allowing negative thought patterns to establish themselves in your mind that this in turn will create a negative atmosphere in your life. It may seem like a hard thing to do, to not be negative, and in the beginning it is, but I promise you after a while the veil will be lifted and you will see your life in a new and amazing light.
If your own happiness isn't enough motivation to be more positive, then think of other people. Think of all the people you really like, who interest and compel you. Are they not happy people, people who smile often, who are friendly and who are POSITIVE? It has been proven time and time again that positive people attract more friends and love into their life and that positive thinking can even help us to move up in life and achieve our goals. If you have ever read You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay you will understand what I am talking about, and if you haven't then I highly, highly recommend that you get a hold of a copy and read it NOW!
And if you're sitting here thinking it seems like some kind of magic or fantasy, let me tell you it is! It is as close to magic as you will ever find and I can give you many examples of how positive thinking changed my own life, but I want to hear from you; how has positivity changed your life?
Keep happy :) Erica xx
